Lipstick is one of those little beauty things that can be the easiest part of your morning makeup routine, or the most downright frustrating. There are some days when I get more aggravated with my lipstick than I do with my eyeliner. But as a lip junkie, it is my solemn duty to try new techniques and tips for applying lipstick, and share them all with you.

Tutorial: Extreme, Dramatic Cut Crease

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m tired of “pop of color” looks. I’m tired of color only being allowed to peep through at the lash line or maybe at the center of the lid. I like my makeup big, and I like it bright. What’s the point of having greens, yellows, blues and so on if I only use them timidly?

Today I decided to use L’oreal’s Color Riche Eyeshadow Quad in Blue Haute Couture, but I didn’t want to use neutrals and banish the blue to my bottom lash line. I’m not really one to do faces of the day, since my makeup tends to be pretty similar all the time, and usually on the darker side. But I am just getting over a pretty horrific bout of sickness, and putting on makeup always makes me feel better.
